Haaland’s holiday photo reveals his priciest watch yet
Erling Haaland was photographed on holiday wearing a Richard Mille RM 55-01 watch that resells for up to £849,500, adding to his known collection of luxury timepieces.
Erling Haaland’s love of luxury watches is well known among football fans, but his latest holiday photo has taken that reputation to a new level. The Manchester City striker was pictured relaxing on a yacht off Sicily after Norway’s World Cup 2026 qualification campaign ended, wearing a Richard Mille RM 55-01 in White Quartz TPT — a watch that has already become one of the most talked-about pieces on the resale market.
The RM 55-01 was officially launched only in April this year, with a reported retail price of around £160,000. In the months since, its resale value has climbed sharply, with some listings reaching as high as £849,500. Other versions of the model, made from different case materials, have been listed at £710,000 and £620,000. These are seller asking prices, not confirmed sales, but they still reflect a rapid rise in demand for a watch barely a few months old.
Richard Mille is known for keeping annual production numbers low, and the RM 55-01, while not officially a limited edition, is no exception. That scarcity has driven collectors who don’t want to wait for an official allocation to look for the watch on the secondary market instead, pushing prices well above retail.
Design-wise, the RM 55-01 takes a more restrained approach than several of Richard Mille’s other releases, focusing on time display rather than added complications, and built around a hand-wound, openworked movement weighing less than five grams. It is available in three versions — White Quartz TPT, Grey Quartz TPT and Carbon TPT — each using the lightweight composite materials the brand is known for.
Haaland has often been associated with high-end watch collecting, and this latest appearance is likely to add further attention to the RM 55-01 among enthusiasts. The resale listings don’t confirm actual transaction prices, but they make clear how much interest the model has attracted in a short time.
