IBPS has released the CRP SPL-XVI notification for 745 Specialist Officer posts across 11 public sector banks, with online applications open until 21 July 2026.

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released its official notification for IBPS SO Recruitment 2026 — the Common Recruitment Process for Specialist Officers, CRP SPL-XVI — inviting online applications for 745 Specialist Officer (Scale I) posts across 11 participating public sector banks.

The vacancies are spread across six profiles: IT Officer (301 posts), Agricultural Field Officer (190), Law Officer (105), Rajbhasha Adhikari (89), and HR/Personnel Officer (60), while no vacancies have been announced this year for Marketing Officer. IBPS has flagged these numbers as indicative, subject to revision by the participating banks.

Applications opened on 1 July 2026 and close on 21 July 2026, submitted online only through ibps.in. Eligible candidates need a relevant degree depending on the post — a B.Tech/B.E. or equivalent for IT Officer, an agriculture-related bachelor’s degree for Agricultural Field Officer, an LLB with Bar Council enrollment for Law Officer, a postgraduate HR/personnel qualification for HR Officer, and a Hindi or Sanskrit postgraduate degree for Rajbhasha Adhikari.

Candidates must be between 20 and 30 years old as on 1 July 2026, with age relaxation available for reserved categories. The application fee is ₹175 for SC/ST/PwBD candidates and ₹850 for General, OBC and EWS candidates, payable online at the time of registration.

Selection runs through three stages: a qualifying-only Preliminary Examination, followed by a Main Examination combining objective and descriptive papers, and a Common Interview. The final merit list weighs Main Examination and Interview marks in an 80:20 ratio. The Preliminary Exam is tentatively scheduled for 29 August 2026 and the Main Exam for 1 November 2026.

Selected candidates join at Junior Management Grade Scale I, with a starting basic pay of ₹48,480 rising through defined increments to ₹85,920, plus Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance and other benefits as applicable at the allotted bank among Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, UCO Bank, Union Bank of India and Bank of Maharashtra.
