TCS completes salary revisions, aligns pay with new India Labour Code

TCS completed annual salary revisions for all employees and aligned its compensation structure with India's new Labour Code this quarter.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) completed annual salary revisions for all employees globally during the first quarter of FY27 and aligned its compensation structure with the requirements of India’s new Labour Code, the company said while reporting its quarterly results.

TCS had a total workforce of 5,93,798 employees at the end of June, with attrition in its IT services business over the preceding 12 months at 13.6%. The company reported a 5% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 13,349 crore for the quarter, with revenue from operations growing 14% year-on-year to Rs 72,275 crore.

The company secured new orders worth $9.5 billion during the quarter, including an $800 million AI-led transformation deal with SKF and a multi-million-dollar partnership with ServiceNow. TCS also entered strategic partnerships with Anthropic and Mistral, including a licensing arrangement giving 50,000 employees enterprise-wide access to Claude.

CEO K Krithivasan said the results reflected sustained business momentum despite geopolitical uncertainty and macroeconomic challenges, with clients increasing spending on AI, technology modernisation and cybersecurity.
